TellTheBell.com – Win a free iPad 2 from Taco Bell?

The last time I visited Taco Bell I was given a flyer to take their survey and win an iPad 2.

There are 2 things that jumped out at me:

  1. tellthebell.com is a great domain name. It's short (relatively) and to the point, it rhymes(!), and it's super easy to remember. They could have gone with "telltacobell" which still has all the characteristics I just listed, but "tellthebell" has a better rhythm to it – it's obvious that someone on Taco Bell's advertising team can actually think outside the box (or bun, in this case). (much better than walgreen's tellwag.com)
  2. an iPad 2? Didn't Apple just release the New iPad? The prize, while still cool, seems a bit dated. Is the second place prize a 1990 Honda Accord?

Someone at the Taco Bell had an iPad 2 and he/she wanted to buy the new one. So that person is giving away their iPad 2. I hear it has some good apps on it. What apps would a Taco Bell executive have on his iPad 2? Oh wait. Executives don't really use their devices, they just own them so they can feign like they know technology, but then they never use it.

Spudart sounds a bit like a greedy welfare recipient or disgruntled employee. Unappreciative of 'some is better than none.'
A company has promos to induce awareness[advertising], promote
new items, get info on sincere customers' likes & dislikes, in order to
improve customer service & menu selections as well as new menu ideas to gain more customers. That they offer nice prizes, to say 'not
good or new or expensive enough, is Blatant Greed & selfishness. Spudart needs an 'Appreciation' & 'Gratitude' check. Please go buy your own over-priced 'latest phone fad' & let those of us more grateful for chances , & good food, have fun dreaming. HOW RUDE you are. Don't like it-leave it !

@SK Chism – you might want to work on those reading comprehension skills, and maybe try to spend less time looking for a fight where one doesn't exist.
I think your comment towards spudart is the rudest and most arrogant comment I've seen submitted to this blog (other than my own comments).

Since spudart's comment is obviously a joke about executives having the latest and greatest (usually for no good reason) – I think you may be confusing spudart's comment with my post (again, reading comprehension). Except I only said "The prize, while still cool, seems a bit dated."
Either way, it's pretty clear that you imagined words that don't exist on this page and responded angrily to them. Which is weird. And crazy.

@SK Chism – I'll take an iPad 2. And i'll use it too. I was just saying that in my personal experience, I've seen corporate executives get the latest tehnology devices, but then never really use them.

I am not a corporate executive.

And not all corporate executives are like this.

And I'm not a greedy welfare recipient. I joyfully pay my taxes. I am glad the work the government does for us, even though they can be corrupt. We are all not perfect. I am glad for the services I do get. And I'm glad to help support those who are in need. Even if people abuse the system. I believe it's best when we take on a helpful and loving viewpoint of life.
