Life Consultant
I've decided to offer my services to the world as a "Life Consultant". If you're confused as to what exactly a Life Consultant does.. they consult with you about aspects of your life. It's very similar to the idea of a "Life Coach", except to me coaching makes it sound like a sport, and sports usually involve an outcome that is either winning or losing. I don't like that.
Why? Because if you've read ANY of my blog posts, you'll know that I have a.. umm… unique way of looking at things, which could provide valuable insight into a situation or idea that you've become stuck on.
Oh, and I'm offering these services for FREE.
So here's how it'll work, for now: if you have a question, you can ask it in the comments below, and if you want a private response, just make a note of that at the end. If you have something you'd like my consultation services on that you'd rather not share with the world, just leave a comment with something along the lines of "email me please", and I'll send you an email and keep everything 100% confidential and private.
I have a feeling that this is going to go down like most of my other recent ideas and no one will be interested or respond, so I'm considering this my "market research" on the idea. If enough people respond though, I'll look at the idea of charging a nominal and reasonable fee (probably a couple bucks or whatever.)
Kthanks. 🙂

Okay, I'll go with you down the road apiece. But now tell me what qualifies you to be able to consult with me on my life?
I can walk down to the local bus stop (or jump on Craigslist – the cyber alternative) and find a local Joe who will give me advice or set me straight on a number of issues. How and why are you different? What do you bring to the table that I can't find on my own?
I think that if you used some persuasive communication in your post and let people know why they should contact you (apart from the fact that you're free) – you might get some responses.
BTW, Life Coaching is not a zero sum game . I hate the term. I've been Life Coaching for 6 years and I wish I could think of an alternative. But it is less about winning than it is about support and providing the right environment so that the client can do their best, most productive and creative work in their lives.
Good luck, my friend

Thanks for the comment. 🙂
What makes me qualified to consult with you about your life? Honestly, nothing. This post was aimed mainly at those regular readers that, for some reason, keep stumbling back here – whether it's for entertainment, boredom, or just plain pity. Some of them have a pretty good idea how I think, how I talk, and what I'm about, and those people just might trust that I could give them some advice, or point them in the right direction.
What sets me apart from the "Average Joe" is that, right here, a person can find over a years worth of my ideas. Hundreds of posts of my thoughts, my (over)reactions, my stupid blunders – and tons of pictures of lolcats ;).
I understand the strain that Life Coaching/Counseling/Consulting can put on a person, which is why this idea was shared in the context of a daily blog post. I have no intention to make a career out of this, it would be more like a hobby (at most) – but anyone that turned to me would get my full attention. It would be looked at as something fun and enjoyable rather than "ugh… woooork!"
There's a kid in the apartment below me singing the ABC's so loud it's more yelling than singing.
I'm guessing you have a google alert set up for "life coaching"? 🙂 I have a bit of an addiction to statistics, and website traffic is feeding it like you wouldn't believe.
Best of luck.

hehe, this is silly, so I'll bite.
I have something that I need Life Consulting on. Toss me an e-mail, it should be in that little box that I just put it in, in order to make this comment, and I'll respond with my current situation and specific questions and concerns. If you're still willing to take my case, then I'd love to hear back from you.
I'll tip too, if'n you want, PayPal only.
Cheers.
