How to be persuasive at work
spudart's latest post offers suggestions for being more persuasive at work.
His suggestions are great, building trust and all…
but..
If that doesn't work for you (it should, but if it doesn't) you could try going in the complete opposite direction: intimidation.
More specifically, intimidation via costume.
Can't get people to listen to you? Dress up and act like:
- A Viking
- A Barbarian
- The alien from "Alien"
- A Klingon
- A cowboy/outlaw
- A medieval warrior
- etc!

I hear Batman works well too. But only the new movie Batmans. Not the Bruce Wayne Batman in tights.

Yeah, and you have to use the Christian Bale Batman voice.

Christian Bale Batman voice counteracts the persuasion from the Batman costume.

No way, it's like a forceful whisper.
That's pretty persuasive.
And that's the modern Batman image. No one would get it if you wore today's Batman costume and then punched them and yelled "BAM!" or "BLAT!"
