Colorless Veggies

I like cauliflower. Really.

But its complete lack of pigmentation bugs me a bit. Pick a color cauliflower! Like red. From now on, I demand that all you cauliflower plants out there produce red cauliflower. The stalks and leaves can still be green, but the munchy part needs to be red. A really bright red. And then we can hang up entire cauliflower plants around Christmas time.

I think someone slipped something in my latte..

red cauliflower. interesting. how about a fleshy color so it can further enforce cauliflower's image as brain food.

You know the "experiment" when you were a kid where you put celery or carnations in food coloring, and it travels up the veins into the flower (or leafy part of the celery)? I wonder if you could do that with cauliflower while it was being grown… ooooooooh!
