The world would be a better place if…

  • more people would stand up for their beliefs rather than worrying about pleasing others or fitting in
  • everyone replaced at least one incandescent bulb with a compact fluorescent bulb
    • I didn't consistently spell "fluorescent" wrong only to notice it during a quick proofreading
  • everyone took the time to look at the moon once in awhile and contemplate how small they are in the grand scheme of things
  • everyone took the time to look at a flower once in awhile and contemplate how significant and amazing they are in the grand scheme of things
  • xkcd was published on a daily basis
  • any of the ideals of Ron Paul were actually manifested
  • you added to this (very incomplete) list in the comments below

i like the part about people just standing up for what they believe in instead of conforming. and i agree with you about people stopping what they are doing in this often stressful and busy life to actually enjoy the simple things around them, such as glancing at the moon or looking at the flowers. it's those simple things that make life worth living.

i'd also add life would be better if people drove at a constant speed instead of speeding up and slowing down…it's frustrating and a waste of my precious gas. and if people would just have some common decency with their fellow human beings. is it so much to ask to be treated fairly, honestly, kindly, respectfully? why must we always be cruel and mean to others? there's no satisfaction that comes from it. i find it to be more fulfilling and uplifting to help people in the smallest ways, like hold the door open, let someone go before me, whether in traffic or in a grocery line (if they don't have a whole lot of stuff, lol). and lastly, i think it would be great if people realized there are more than just 2 political parties in this country (which is really just 1)…vote 3rd party!! okay, that's my list 🙂 i'm sure i could think of more to add, but i'll spare everyone from my list of complaints 😛
