Simple eBay RSS Feed Generator

There is a new version of the eBay RSS Feed Creator with more options, you can get to it by clicking here

eBay used to put a link right on the search results to an RSS feed for the current search. It was nice.
But now.. where is the darn thing?

Out of frustration, and boredom at work, I whipped up a quick javascript solution that builds a link to an RSS feed for any ebay search you can think of!

You can give it a try if you want –

Oh wait. People will now read my comment about I hope they I'm German and now they will see it's in English and they will begin to question if I'm from Germany or not. ugh.

oh man, spudart. Lately that's exactly what i've wanted in my ebay searches. I've been looking at old baseball cards on ebay. I'm only willing to pay $5 max (including shipping).

Gotta say thanks a lot. The ebay representative on the phone doesn't even know what RSS is. I hate it when ebay changes something for the worse.

    Thanks again!

After I get http://ninjapicks.com up and running, I'll add an improved version of this eBay RSS generator to the Ninja's tools. 🙂

    Hi Sparx,

Great tool. Does your improved version of the eBay RSS generator work out the complete advanced search (http://music.shop.ebay.com/ebayadvsearch/)?

Why has eBay removed the RSS function on new searches? Do you think it's temporary? When do you think eBay will re-add the RSS function?

Looking forward to hear from you.

    Rgds,
    Marc

    Thank Marc,
It *will* allow for most, if not all, of the advanced search options.. but right now – not so much. I just finished up 90% of what I needed to get done to launch Ninja Picks, so now I should have a bit of time to work on other things.. like this.

I'm not sure why eBay removed the RSS link from searches. The RSS functionality is still there (my script is using it), but the links to it have vanished. I'm hoping it's a mistake and that it'll come back, or that maybe that it's still there and I'm just overlooking it.. along with everyone else.

    Please keep us (all) posted.

    Best regards & talk soon,
    Marc

Thanks for the RSS feed tool. I'm guessing the next version will include price boundaries? That would be the holy grail of rss ebay feeds.

    Thanks,
    Tim C.
