People Can't Spell Futurama [Futrama Futerama Futureama]

As far as I'm concerned, Futurama is one of the best TV shows/Cartoons ever. I'm more than willing to drop whatever it is that I'm doing and stare at a box of pixels if it happens to come on, sometimes losing an hour or more of my day.

I decided to do a bit of keyword research for Futurama, just to see if there were any interesting (and untapped) markets that I could build a site around… Unfortunately I didn't come up with much. What I found interesting though was the number of popular search terms that were misspellings of "Futurama".

The three most popular misspelling are "Futrama" "Futerama" "Futureama", which total over 20,000 searches a month. Twenty THOUSAND people misspell this every month. Wow. For comparison, almost 900,000 searched for it spelled correctly.

If I was marketing a product or TV show, I would love for it to be popular enough that 20,000 people that couldn't spell went looking for it every month.

Futurama is indeed a great show. Though it really helps to watch the show from beginning to end. Some viewing value is lost when you start watching half way into an episode.

My favorite mispelling: Futureama. That's hilarious.

Future ama. That's too much. People are funny. Each episode clearly displays the Futurama logo. It's a distinct logo as well. This is all silliness.
