Oh hi! I'm from the internet.

I think it was in an xkcd comic – maybe penny-arcade – a mention of people referring to the internet as their place of origin.  That should be me. I'm not sure how I'm going to accomplish it, but I fully plan to take up residence within the internet.

I think I'm going to start by walking away from conversations randomly, and then replying (via email) to the last thing that was said.

I almost titled this post "101st Post".. could you imagine me starting that trend. I think it'd get really old by "102nd Post" and unbearable by "103rd Post".

Wow. Kate overtook me on the top commentators chart. 21-20.

You should take up residence in Second Life. Then you can say you are from the internet.

103rd post would have meaning for me, cuz i grew up by 103rd street, which is a mile street in Chicago. And then if you did 104th post, that would be cool, cuz i grew up on 104th Place.

The internet says "Hi" to you.

I dislike second life.. and if you've ever used (played?) it, I'm sure you can imagine why.

Not related to the internet or taking up residence there.. but I'm eagerly waiting for Spore to come out. I haven't been keeping up on things though, so I'm not even sure what the release date has been pushed out to.

i have a brief moment to enjoy being ahead of Matt in these comment posts, but i'm sure it won't last very long, haha.

the whole internet as a place of origin (and living in it) reminds me of that scene from The Matrix where Neo's character wakes up in that machine-built pod and has all those metal prongs along his body…creepy. if i have to have metal connection prongs to plug myself into the internet to live there, i'm definitely opting out. although i sometimes shy away from people interaction (i'm an introverted librarian :-P), i still prefer living in reality, if that's what this life can be called. oh crap, i think i just went into some weird existental transition there…i'm gonna avoid talking anymore on this, lol.

second life does suck. it's very strange. You can just fly around to these empty places that are not informative. And you meet people that have no profiles or information. It's really quite strange. I never understood why there isn't more of a… an easier way to find stuff or people. I want to be able to search for something and find it.

Oh second life is like the real world without search engines. How ironic is that?

I clicked the "Submit Comment" button twice on accident. I thought maybe my comment would appear twice. But it did not.
