McDonald's Observation
Yesterday I left the construction site to make a lunch run. 12 cheeseburgers from McDonald's, 3 of which were claimed by myself.
Having worked at McDonald's when I was a kid, I knew that they wouldn't be too pleased with an order for 12 cheeseburgers.. but when I got there and looked over the menu, I decided to make it even worse. Cheeseburgers are $0.99. Double-cheeseburgers are on the dollar menu. Guess what I bought 12 of.
Why would anyone buy just a regular cheeseburger at these prices?

I regularly buy a hamburger and side salad. Yes, the double cheeseburger may give you more food for the money, but you are buying yourself bad health. The cheese on the cheeseburgers do nothing but add extra fat to the burger. I'd pay McDonalds more money to not include the cheese, so I can have a slightly healther burger.

That's like a druggie saying "Sometimes I buy crack, but I like to pay more and get less, because it's bad for me."
When you need to get food in you, a penny more for an extra piece of "meat" is almost a no-brainer. I'm about to ban all intake of fast food.. so there. 😛

People at work tease me because I often get a burger and a side salad from McDonald's (or at least they did that one time). 🙁 It's nice to read that other people buy the same thing.
You're banning fast food? How are you supposed to gain weight now?

I only teased you because you left out the burger when I asked what you got.. and I had to ask what was in the second bag to get that info out of you.
I'm just going to eat more. Better food and more of it. Today was supposed to be the start of my general strike, but I think I'm pushing it out until next monday now.

You need a blog post about the new "Top commentators" box in your sidebar. But since there is no blog post, I will commander this post and use it for my comment.
1) Where is the sparx in this list?
I'm very curious how many comments you have left on your blog. I have left 24% of the comments on my blog.
2) I'm number one! hooray!
Let's archive the list as of today:

avoid McDonald's!! they are evil!! unhealthy food…not to mention, when i worked there, they sexually discriminated against me because i was a female…they paid me .10 cents less an hour and i was hired before the other guy and i did drive-thru…grrrr! i haven't eaten at any mcdonald's for over 10 years.
but then again, if you're trying to gain weight, mcdonald's will help…just don't blame me when you have a coronary embolism from all those clogged arteries 😛

it's difficult to avoid the muse known as the double cheeseburger. About once a month, I get the urge to have a cheeseburger, but I always end up getting a double cheeseburger. And spud, you MUST get cheese on your burger. It's so yummy. oh man. so good. Just cheese, meat, and buns.

watch Supersize Me…that movie really makes me think twice about eating at McDonalds, lol. all that weight he gained and the mood swings…definitely food for thought. of course, after working there, i just don't have the stomach to eat any of it. i don't know how you do it, sparx. but that's what free will and choice is all about, haha 😛

It's amazing how blog posts on McDonalds always results in numerous comments. I suppose it's because everyone in our society has developed a relationship with McDonalds in one form or fashion.

I like how most of the comments approach or exceed the length of the original post. 🙂
