I would fly it around the Empire State Building.. after affixing a giant inflatable gorilla to the building somehow.
I would land in the biggest field of dandelions (that have gone to seed) that I could find.

ok, the coolest place to LAND would be in a field of corn because you can crush the corn into a design and then you could fly away really quickly and say "oh my god, alien crop circles!" and take pictures and post them on flickr
