It's so limiting, even if you're doing something that you absolutely enjoy - I have a hard time thinking of something that would really "help" in any important way. I think I have much more of a "for the good of the colony/hive" almost insect-like mentality at times than most people. As long as my basic needs are fulfilled, I'm good. Up until maybe a year and a half ago, I had never even heard of Montessori schools. A fellow student described his experience at one, and I think I might have actually gone slack-jawed. I don't even know where I would start to look for such a grant.. and I'm not sure how strong I am as far as grant proposal writing skills. Maybe someone will accidentally stumble on this post, read this comment, and start me off in the right direction. I guess that's what's always bothered me about the idea of choosing a "career"..
