Foofaraw
On Saturday I received an email from Dreamhost (my webhost) that they had detected an intrusion on one of their servers on Thursday night.
Passwords may have been compromised.
As a result, ALL users had their passwords reset and were forced to create new ones. I had nine users myself, so trying to come up with new passwords took a bit of time.
Sunday I received an email from one of my WordPress instances that there were new users being registered… something that shouldn't have been happening. Luckily they were unable to do anything more than that, but I spent a good chunk of the day locking things down. I changed all my database passwords (just for good measure), deleted unused users, deleted unused WordPress blogs (there were like 15 of them set up for my ebay project that has been dead for about a year now), and did a bit of extra tidying – just because.
End result: nothing was negatively affected, although I did have a few moments that one might refer to as "panic attacks".
On a much more pleasant note, I start a 13 week Tai Chi class on Thursday. 3 days! WOOOOOH!

That sucks. How were the WP hackers able to create accounts?
Cool about T'ai chi. I will hopefully be starting jazz piano lessons soon, possibly as early as next Monday.
I'm quite geeked about it. I have been practicing and listening to a lot of Oscar Peterson and Cannonball Adderley Quintet (Joe Zawinul, piano).
On Spotify, have a listen to the song "Sticks" by Cannonball Adderley Quintet. Fabulous. I want to rock this song in Jeebus Preebus.

I had forgotten to turn off the ability to register new users on the ebay blogs. Luckily the default user level was set to "subscriber" rather than "contributor" or an admin. So there wasn't really any risk, but those sites had been up since 2008 and no one had managed to find their way there until then.
Also, searching for the email address that was used came up with a few lists of accounts known to spam wordpress blogs.
The timing of our respective lessons had me wondering about a fusion – Tai Chi + Jazz Piano… and a quick search returned this CD Relaxing Jazz Piano Music for Spa, Massage, Meditation, Yoga, Tai Chi & Shiatsu. I'll have to at least take a listen to the preview clips after work.

I guess that should be "Album" rather than "CD", since it looks like it's only available in MP3 format.

That is a real word?
The piano I wanna do is spicy bebop stuff, probably too rocking for meditative states of being.

I think (once I get comfortable with Tai Chi) that I'll try combining it with some isochronic tones, which apparently are the "upgrade" to the binaural beats I used to play around with years ago.

An album can also mean a collection

Was your site down again this weekend? Or was it attacked by a lion on a Chicago bus? http://www.windycitizen.com/photo/2012/01/30/photo-one-time-i-saw-this-on-cta

Again? I haven't had any major downtime in a looong time.
It was only down Sunday… for 13 hours. 🙁
Dude, that's no lion. That looks like a bear!
