If Bears Can Do It…
It's getting cold. Wintery. I wore a jacket today.
I've noticed that these last few days I've begun to feel a bit more sluggish than usual. More likely to just feel like curling up and taking a nap, it doesn't even bother me as much now that I'm completely alone with no one to curl up with. I just wanna hibernate. This morning, for a brief amount of time, I felt really motivated. I managed to do enough work that I can now just sit and do almost nothing for the rest of the day. Like a bear eating and preparing before the long nap.
I'm also very easily distracted. Much more so than usual. One of the fluorescent bulbs in my office is going out. There's an occasional annoying flicker, but right now it's doing some neat "plasma spiral" thing.. it's like one of those rotating barber shop poles, but with light. It's pretty trippy.
Anyway.. cold = hibernation. Is this a measured human phenomenon? I know we don't have anything as drastic as those wonderful sleepy bears, but do we get less active when the weather starts acting like my freezer? Or am I just looking for an excuse for my laziness?
